We should go along with the Orwellian project of reducing to nothing the history of people who were first destroyed, and now will be erased? So as to help feed the illimitable and unfounded self esteem of those who seek to destroy us too?

But while other people who achieve more live, their [our, that is] very existence is a living reproach and a cause for unease.

I’m sorry, the letter is politically driven drivel. I have no patience for the ‘let us now bash the whole history of the Muslim world in two and a half minutes’ school of historical thought.
