Yep, I read about it pretty much every day, thanks to my Google alerts. Most of the stories don’t even make it to the (US) national news.

A lot Americans like to call themselves anti-war or non-violent yet many of the same are largely silent about incidents like the one in Nigeria. They say, no to war in Syria while in fact there is a war raging in Syria. They like to blame the Iraq war on sectarian violence in Iraq without acknowledging that said sectarian violence has been going on for decades. The only thing that masked this violence for a period was the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein. It’s largely Sunni vs. Shia with Shia losing out the most.
