I have a master’s degree. The interview/hiring process for my part-time obit clerk job took 2 weeks.

I suspect if I had applied to McD’s, I wouldn’t have gotten the job, because “it’s beneath me” or some bullshit.

You know what’s beneath me? Starving to death, not paying my rent, etc.

It’s just incredible, isn’t it? Did you have to submit “samples” of your writing, too? : )
