I thought that was unusual as well.

When I lived on the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, it was hard not to find crabs or oysters or whatnot.

Go inland though and it’s peanuts everywhere. I guess crabs and oysters can’t get through the Hampton Roads, Downtown, or Midtown Tunnels. /s

I think I just arrived in VA Beach at the wrong time in my life: Too old to have had Virginia history drilled into my head since infancy, too young to appreciate it when I’d go on those school trips that happened in middle and high school. Hell, I didn’t even make it to Colonial Williamsburg until this past May and I’ve lived in VB since ‘95.
