I don’t agree that it’s a national symbol of such importance that we need to destroy the mosques on it or otherwise prevent Muslims from accessing it.

I think that the national identity of Israel is in the people of Israel, just as I think that the national identity of America is in Americans, not in the liberty bell, or the statue of liberty, or any other symbol. I think it’s in the Constitution and the ideals of our land, but not in physical objects. They’re not very important to me.

It doesn’t need any explanation. I just disagree with you that destroying the mosques and fully occupying the Temple Mount and restricting access are necessary for Israeli national identity.

I am not saying that we should defacto destroy the mosques either. I am saying that we should have the sacrifice made to keep them there recognized and that if we are not getting peace for that sacrifice amongst many others, then there is no point in further sacrificing our own identity.

The space is not theirs.

We let them have it for peace.

We are not getting peace.

Simple simple statements.
