Then civil unions should convey 100% of the legal right of marriage and right now they do not. As long as civil unions are not legally equal to marriage, supporting civil unions over marriage is supporting inequality.

The laws can be changed, can they not?
They were written at some point, weren’t they?
So they CAN be rewritten, can they not?
