I am saying that we should have the sacrifice made to keep them there recognized and that if we are not getting peace for that sacrifice amongst many others, then there is no point in further sacrificing our own identity.

I don’t think that their presence there represents a sacrifice of identity. In fact, I think destroying them would destroy a part of Jewish identity; the history of when Jerusalem was overrun. It’s not a happy part of Jewish history, but it did happen. It’d be wonderful if Muslims in the Middle East progressed to a point where they were thankful for the sacrifice of Jews allowing them to stand, instead of demanding more, but that is, for the moment, a pipe dream.

We let them have it for peace.

We are not getting peace.

But ‘them’ isn’t just the radicals. Those spots are holy to the moderate Muslims as well. That’s a large part of the problem with your argument.
