Well, I’ve been to the Blue Mosque in Istanbul on two different tours, and both times we had females with us when we went — and they were indeed required to put on a veil before entering. We men, of course, being lords of the world, only had to take off our shoes.

We had a female drummer who wore a baseball cap, and that wasn’t good enough. She had to replace it with the veil. (She hated it, too.)
