Limbaugh, defacto leader of the GOP, has dehumanized liberals and democrats for 30+ years. I’m going to withhold judgement on GOP leadership for maybe 7-10 years. As they lose election after election that’s not gerrymandered, we’ll see how they respond.

Boehner went all Benghazi just yesterday.

I’d buy a figurative 12 back for the first GOP leader to tell Rush to shut up and that his viciousness has no place in discourse but that will never happen anytime soon because the GOP leadership repeatedly shows they care more about satisfying Lord Limbaugh’s happiness rath er than the American people. I think they need a big landslide where the present idea of conservatism is totally repudiated. Again, I don’t see that happening because I think the way the country is now, at least 45% of the people will vote Republican even if someone completely wacko like Rick Santorum is the nominee. And who knows, being landslided may push some of those GOP state legislatures to try their crazy idea about making EVs proportional just out of spite. But as I said, perhaps a complete GOP landslide would do the trick. They need better leaders too. They need as I said a couple nights back a second Eisenhower. Someone from outside politics or at least their establishment who isn’t afraid to say “You know what, global warming is happening” or “We shouldn’t interfere with a woman’s right to choose” or “I don’t care if gays want to get married.” They need that or they’ll never get anywhere near this younger geneation of voters. Despite what they believe about us in Gen Y, we’re not suddenly going to forget that we support equality for gay couples because we have gay friends who we see as our equals and that’s not going to change whether I’m 25 like I am now or 55 in 30 years.
