What I’ll do tomorrow, is wring out the clothes and take them to the neighbor’s house for a rinse cycle. She wasn’t home today, so it will just have to wait ‘til tomorrow. My dryer works, so that’ll be OK. And I can hold out for a week without doing laundry. Not easily, but it can be done.

As to the kid adding detergent - whoa. I get it.

I once told my father-in-law that if he wanted to wash his hats, he should put them in the dishwasher instead of the washing machine.

So I come back into the house an hour or so later, and he’s standing at the dishwasher with a mop, water and suds are EVERYWHERE, he’s run the dishwasher like 5 times and it’s still putting out excess suds - turns out he used laundry detergent in the dishwasher. I really didn’t think I had to specify that he should use dishwasher detergent in the dishwasher, but apparently I should have.
