I think Obama is just more worried about covering his political butt than trashing BP—that part is incidental.

We also want BP to be around to pay the bill—so we shouldn’t try to drive them to bankruptcy.

I’m not saying Obama is even aware of this. Look how shocked people are to hear about how some Brits see this and are being effected by this? They have to blink their eyes a few times. What?
