Missing the point. That factory was going to close anyway, because if the same thing can be made for significantly less elsewhere, it will be.

So the only question left is, do you want the company to fold entirely and lose ALL of those jobs, or just the jobs that, at our current level of technology, probably don’t deserve to be much higher than minimum wage anyway?

Speaking of these things as inevitable is silly, I think.

We do have the ability to tariff, restrict imports, etc. And a couple million minimum wage jobs would be might helpful right about now.
