There’s nothing wrong with that position. One of the general rules I live by, however, is to not place my personal desire for justice over the desires of those people that have actually been wronged. It’s a great way to moderate your outrage in a society then seems bent on manufacturing outrage on a daily basis.

I have two teenage daughters. I would find it offensive if people thought that I somehow condoned Polanski’s actions.
