Heh. As a 4th generation Texan, and god knows how many generations prior Alabaman, I really take issue with people who do #2. And then, I know in my heart I would do the same if I was transplanted elsewhere.

Hi Dante! LOL! Gotta fess up. Twenty years ago, my wife and I moved here to Texas from California. But, we made friends very quickly, because we’d make the point that we moved to Texas to become Texans, not to try and make Texans become Californians.

Oh yeah, we’re always the first to make fun of folks who come from other places and move into gated communities around here - you know, the ones where the houses are close enough together to pass the toothpaste back and forth. We always ask: “Have you people seen how much freakin’ open land we’ve got around here?”
