re: #667 Ray in TX

Well, I am sure that the wheels of justice will turn on Polanski. I was not suggesting that he be set free. I’m just saying that I’m ambivalent about the whole thing.

I just have this vision of a woman who has moved on with her life now knowing that she is going to be dragged through the press and possibly back into court when she would just rather it all go away. I am pretty sure that I sympathize with her a lot more than the people who want to make sure the state gets its pound of flesh.

Now, this explanation about having sympathy for this lady is a bit different, and of course we all have some sympathy for the situation she finds herself in now, 30 years down the road.

But I would hope that she is mature enough to understand that even if this is difficult for her, it is a citizen’s obligation to do what they can to ensure the laws of the land are upheld. Just my opinion.
