We told ourselves that back in October, that the dangers of a shutdown would mean the establishment would come to the table and work out some manner of compromise. Until the votes are actually counted, I don’t put anything past them at this point.

Back then they had all August to stoke the rage and they caught the House leadership cold. This time the leadership is aware of the threat and the wingnuts have had a failure to take the wind out of their sails.
