I suppose I post this to let neo-secessionists know that I do not reject their cause out of ignorance. I know the myth, and feel its appeal. It is still the work of the devil though.

so true. Even as a very Union boy, I can understand the myth. It’s so similar to Star Wars in certain ways. But they pervert it and I can’t accept their version. But yes, I know why they believe it.
