… they can’t do that effectively when they parrot the insanity of groups who flog the “Obama is a Sekret Muslin” (sic), “Obama isn’t American”, “Democrats are not Real Americans”, “It’s all a Fascist/Marxist/Islamic/Communist takeover”.

That kind of crazy is what finally drove me away from the GOP and conservatism. Every reaction to the Democrats is distorted by those views. I hit my breaking point about the time when Ann Coulter published her book calling the Dems godless. For the current Right, reason is thrown to the wind and replaced with slogans, dogma, and pure hatred. It ain’t a way to win converts much less run a country.
