fortunately I have one good buddy from Huntsville…he is an extremely bright guy even tho he speaks with a very slow drawl and an accent that is as back woods as can be…he is an authentic redneck and the most polite fellow imaginable..I have never heard him say an unkind word about or toward anyone…if he has a beef, it’s shrouded with good ol boy humor…as far as I know everybody just loves him to pieces, but you need to be patient with conversation…he is hilarious but very slow to make his point…he yalks to himself and has every old southern expression you can think of…and he calls me a good ol Yankee boy

Hi albusteve! LOL! You just reminded me of an old movie that had Clint Walker in it. I remember one of his lines after all these years:

“Just cause I talk slow don’t mean I’m stupid.”
