When I was in college, for about a year, I lived across the street from an orange grove owned by the university and irrigated for tax purposes. Never harvested. One night, it was fresh-squeezed orange juice and rum. Then we had to move on to the 151 rum. Yeah, it works.

Once we decided we’d have a Jungle Juice party. Went and got fresh fruits, based on large really good oranges. I did the mixing. Soo good, people got too drunk too fast.

Next day, we ate the oranges. OMG they were good, soaked up the liquors, we were on our assess again.

Good rum, OJ… works.

My current fave when I eat at Tommy Bahamas: the Rum Babaloo. It’s rum with ginger beer and a touch of orange or triple sec, finished with actual orange.

Now I need a drink. Something with pineapple in it…
