he got bad advise admittedly though.

imagine how the world would look if Reagan ignored the advice and had a “war on islamic terror” as well as a “war on communism” back in 1982…

both were interlinked at the time - soviet arms going to syria, iran and the PLO and such like…

Yes, Reagan could have done better against islamofascists. You know he wanted to avenge the murders of our troops and the Achille Lauro victim Leon Klinghoffer and many others. Reagan’s diaries are full of his anguish over these murders.

He had his hands full bringing down the Iron Curtain and reversing some of Jimmy Carter’s and liberals damaging demoralizing attacks on America.
