No one is dismissing you. I am dismissing the notion that the overwhelming electoral success of Democratic candidates was somehow a proof that republican opinions should take precedence. It’s bizarre, but a number of people have argued something like that and are doing so even in this thread.

Yes, the opinion. How does it go again, “kill the bill.” Death panels, birth certificates, gays are taking over, Communists in the White House, Obama is a the anti-Christ and/or a secret Muslim, and so on.
