HP needs to be made into a case study supporting the thesis that US management ideas are often worse than useless, especially the MBA/bean counter way of running things.

As far as I can tell, it is as pure an example of a great company being driven into the ground by mismanagement as exists.

Such case studies are done in B-schools, which are the root of the problem, so something useful like this isn’t likely to happen.

I’ll say something out there but we need more humanities majors and less business majors. NOt everyone is an entrepreneur.
