They are paid by the purchasing government(s) for the vaccine, so it’s not like the manufacturers are taking it in the shorts here. However, they have waived patent enforcement for the duration of the pandemic, in the interest of ensuring sufficient supply, so at least in that area, they aren’t making as much money as they could.

I get that, but these chuckleheads aren’t coming out of pocket like is being implied.
