Yes, indeed. The German Blitzkrieg of May-June 1940 is a very interesting campaign to study. The initial German thrusts in into Belgium and The Netherlans were mainly a ruse, to draw Allied force north. The main thrust of 7 panzer divisions pushed through the Ardennes and pushed across the Meuse at Sedan, Dinant, and Monthereme.

The Allies wanted and planned for a repeat of the start of WWI (Maginot Line anyone?), so the Wehrmacht gave them exactly what they were expecting. Too bad it was only a fake-out.
