Let’s put it this way, a repeat of 1811-12 would be very bad, to put it mildly. I suspect you’d have a ton of destruction as far north as Milwaukee, and as far south as Baton Rouge. There’s no way that even Chicago is immune to it.

Yup. And many people in the midwest think they are safe from really bad stuff and only have to deal with tornadoes every once in a while. Oy.
