I talked to our first-grade teacher yesterday. She said last year she had kids who couldn’t spell out CAT, and a kid who was reading “The Lightning Thief” on his own.

A girl on the bus in the 4th grade got 2 F’s and was so happy about it. She told my daughter she wanted to fail 4th grade and take it over again. WTF is wrong with her parents?
