I don’t think a Constitutional Convention could even be held these days. The nation is simply too polarized to come together on matters of great import. It would either fall apart or result in civil war.

The number one reason we can’t hold another Constitutional Convention is that James Madison and his peers are dead, and we haven’t seen their like again.
