For this purpose it would be to pay dues, subscribe, click the box, or whatever it takes to make it into SPLC’s count of hate groups.

(In that sense our family has ‘joined’ the Catholic Worker movement out of deep nostalgia, the protestant Koinonia Partners commune for the really great chocolate pecan Christmas goodies, and Habitat, just by showing up a lot with a toolbelt.)
