It should reduce the AC loading a lot, plus the lighter colors reflect more heat into space. It’s just one tiny, but easily done thing, not a total solution to anything.
I like to see the math on what percentage of man made structures cover the earth though, it must be a very small number.

It might reduce the AC loading a little, but the winter heating loading would more than make up for that, and vice versa with a black instead of white roof. Again, proper insulation is a better option for reducing both heating and cooling loads than paint.
