That clip is painfully embarrassingly poor attempt at satire.

Lazy attempt. But how can they not have, in a four minute clip, anything about his anti-vaxerism?

So is Beck. And Rush. Dork, also a four letter word.

A few months ago, I saw Bill on The Situation Room. He said the majority Americans are stupid. After a break, Wolf said they were getting a lot of emails and wanted to give Bill a chance to "clarify." Bill said (paraphrasing, don't remember the exact quote) "I'm not clarifying anything. The majority of Americans are stupid and so are those emailers."
Then Wolf said, "But the majority of Americans voted for Obama, the same candidate you supported." Bill was stumped. It doesn't reflect well on you to get pwned by Wolf Blitzer.

re: #39 Virginia Plain
Part of the satire. Kittens, just regular old kittens, couldn't possibly piss anyone off by being their cute selves. But call them "republican" kittens, and put them on Bill's show, and every time they meow they get drowned out by boos.
Point of the joke being that it doesn't matter what a "republican" says on Bill's show, his audience will reject their words out right.

I thought it was awfully heavy-handed, and I'm not fond of the man.
I stopped listening to him when he said he was "half-Jewish (I hate people who do this when they know better!)", and my decision was confirmed when I heard that he ok'd boys being molested "slightly", and said denied that boys being taken advantage of by their female teachers was a crime (but if it had been a male teacher...?).

My guess is that it's a long sleeping sockpuppet that is not at all concerned with the facts, nor the topics. Just a little weasel that wants to see how long it's limp, wussy comment stays up before deletion.

I think the bulk of Americans are no more or less stupid than the rest of the world.
But where the rest of the world's stupid people are rather ashamed of being stupid, or at least have the decency to remain discreet about out (except maybe the British), our American Stoopids delight in letting the world know how think they are and getting in everyone's face with it as if it were something to be proud of.
54 | The Sanity Inspector Mon, Dec 7, 2009 2:43:25am |
I'd like to ask people who produce this type of humor. "What would Americans be like if they weren't stupid?" The answer, spoken or not, is probably along the lines of, "Well, they would be more like me."

First there was Politically Incorrect, and it was good. And now there's the Bill Maher show, starring Bill Maher, some pot and pointlessness. He seems to have derailed after PI was shut down.
