Doing more job apps.
There's a charter school in Oakland that's 48 percent white.
I'm not sure what to make of this.
Say what again?

And I also now know what too much free time looks like at 2,500 frames per second.

OK, I'm jumping around. But thanks to SFZ I read the Ta-Nehisi Coates post on Trayvon.
Interesting how GZ told Trayvon's parents today that he didn't know Trayvon was a kid, while in his taped 911 call he described him as a "kid" and a "teenager"
yeah.

Sonic Screwdriver Tightens up Fundamental Physics
a team of physicists at the University of Dundee have taken equipment designed for MRI-guided focused ultrasound surgery and demonstrated a real Sonic Screwdriver - lifting and spinning a free-floating 10 cm diameter rubber disk with an ultrasound beam.
The Dundee researchers used energy from an ultrasound array to form a beam that can both carry momentum to push away an object in its path and, by using a beam shaped like a helix or vortex, cause the object to rotate.

Been noticing that the LGF Pages index was getting really really slow, so I took a deep look at the MySQL queries and discovered an indexing change that sped things up quite a bit. If you've noticed it getting slow too, check it out - you should see a big improvement.

Seems odd to have someone take a picture of your head mins after you shoot someone in the chest and they're lying before you dying. #IJS

Although I don't think goofing on the man's death is nice I'm glad to see the Mad Max with the original voices. It was only a few years ago all you could get was they crappy American voice over version.
