Jihadists celebrating Victoria fires; taking joy in the scenes
JIHADISTS are celebrating the worst tragedy in Victoria's history.
Terror watchdogs said fundamentalists had blogged on websites across the globe, applauding the lives lost and destruction in the Victoria fires.
Senior analyst at SITE Intelligence Group Adam Raisman said they were posting pictures of burnt homes and devastated victims and "taking joy in the scenes", the Sunday Herald Sun reports.
One jihadist wrote: "It would be an act of revenge for Australian's participation in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq."

Very cool pic, Charles.
Ever get the feeling that Planned Parenthood doesn't want you to know what Margaret Sanger was really like?
Margaret Sanger, whose American Birth Control League became Planned Parenthood, was the founding mother of the birth-control movement. She is today considered a liberal saint, a founder of modern feminism, and one of the leading lights of the Progressive pantheon. Gloria Feldt of Planned Parenthood proclaims, “I stand by Margaret Sanger’s side,” leading “the organization that carries on Sanger’s legacy.” Planned Parenthood’s first black president, Faye Wattleton — Ms. magazine’s “Woman of the Year” in 1989 — said that she was “proud” to be “walking in the footsteps of Margaret Sanger.” Planned Parenthood gives out annual Maggie Awards to individuals and organizations who advance Sanger’s cause. Recipients are a Who’s Who of liberal icons, from the novelist John Irving to the producers of NBC’s West Wing. What Sanger’s liberal admirers are eager to downplay is that she was a thoroughgoing racist who subscribed completely to the views of E. A. Ross and other “raceologists.” Indeed, she made many of them seem tame.
Want some specifics?
A fair-minded person cannot read Sanger’s books, articles, and pamphlets today without finding similarities not only to Nazi eugenics but to the dark dystopias of the feminist imagination found in such allegories as Margaret Atwood’s Handmaid’s Tale. As editor of The Birth Control Review, Sanger regularly published the sort of hard racists we normally associate with Goebbels or Himmler. Indeed, after she resigned as editor, The Birth Control Review ran articles by people who worked for Goebbels and Himmler. For example, when the Nazi eugenics program was first getting wide attention, The Birth Control Review was quick to cast the Nazis in a positive light, giving over its pages for an article titled “Eugenic Sterilization: An Urgent Need,” by Ernst Rüdin, Hitler’s director of sterilization and a founder of the Nazi Society for Racial Hygiene. In 1926 Sanger proudly gave a speech to a KKK rally in Silver Lake, New Jersey.
Such a nice person, don't'cha think?

A short, but appropriate instrumental from Sir Paul:
65 | Sharmuta Sat, Feb 14, 2009 4:16:48pm |
Historian Jack Oruch has made the case that the traditions associated with "Valentine's Day", documented in Geoffrey Chaucer's Parliament of Foules and set in the fictional context of an old tradition, had no such tradition before Chaucer. He argues that the speculative explanation of sentimental customs, posing as historical fact, had their origins among 18th-century antiquaries, notably Alban Butler, the author of Butler's Lives of Saints, and have been perpetuated even by respectable modern scholars. In the French 14th-century manuscript illumination from a Vies des Saints (illustration above), Saint Valentine, bishop of Terni, oversees the construction of his basilica at Terni; there is no suggestion here yet that the bishop was a patron of lovers.
Just for all you V-day skeptics....

OK, I was going to just enjoy the rose (and try to get my "n" back), but since you went there, yes, arson has long been a tool of war. There was also much speculation as to the causes of last years wild fires in Spain & on our west coast. I don't know what caused em, but I know that being allowed to clean up dead brush helps protect against em.

Thank you, Goddess. Is there an un-painful divorce? I don't know. This was my first marriage. It would have been settled months ago were it not for the fact that my DD, after living with my soon-to-be-ex for a month decided that I was not the revolving SOB she had been led to believe I was and insisted on coming back to live with her dear old daddy. The dust has taken a while to settle.

Over on Facebook, one of my über-lib friends is having orgasms over Obama's post-plane-crash-in-upstate-NY statement that life is fragile and we should treasure every moment. "Finally, a president who thinks and communicates!"
Just pointed out to him that Bush was perfectly capable of the trite-but-true sound bite himself.
I mean, cripes, I voted for Obama and I don't see what's so special about this stuff.
And I'm reserving judgment until he actually accomplishes something, rather than just appointing a bunch of winners and losers and presiding over the $timulus bill, which we would have gotten in a different form even if McCain had won.
Yes, I voted for him. But I've never seen the point of the mania.

Heated stones sound evil but they have healing properties along with the application of heat. Oil relaxes the tense muscles and the lavender has a calming effect. Back pain is debilitating and many cannot get chiropractors on med insurance.

It's ok if you space them apart and don't take either in amounts that exceed the dosage recommendations. You alternate one with the other, not both together at once, which allows you to take pain killers more frequently when you having extreme issues. Some hospitals will even do this for children when they are running high fevers.

I love the smell of cloves. There is a store called LUSH that has handmade bath products and I adore the clove scented bath fizz balls. Light some candles, get a cold eye compress...and you have a spa at home!
I have a passion for unscented stuff. I'm hunting a bath oil that has no smell. So far, the best I've found is Neutrogena's very light sesame oil.
But clove oil is one of the best external muscle relaxants I've ever found. It will also reduce scar tissue, over time.

Let's see 500,000,000 lost jobs a month without the rescue package
30 days in a month ( 28 this Month)
3/30 is 10%...(or this month 3/28 = 10.7%)
10.7% 0f 500,000,00053,500,000 Americans will lose their Jobs over this !

Not according to a physical therapist I worked with.
But hey, I haven't checked the Physician's Desk Reference, so I could easily be wrong.
Aspirin and motrin is an issue. Motrin can be nephrotoxic (renal), Tylenol can be hepatotoxic (liver). An overdose of either is not good. Short term use together should not be a problem. Since they work by different pathways the anti inflammatory effect is additive.

Dianna,
Have you tried Nivea pure oil? I think it has no smell. If it does, it is light. It is a heavier oil than Neutrogena Seasame Oil which I use in a pinch- it is too light for me and my skins just soaks it up. The Nivea is better for me. Or Palmer's pure Cocoa Butter oil.

For one thing, I didn't buy into the whole "the press is out to get me" shtick from Palin. What you saw was what she is. A perky cheerleader who could probably use a dose of Despondex, someone not overburdened with brains or curiosity about the world, another of the many dimwit governors who dot this land. McCain picked her for her appeal to creationists, among other things. It was a shoddy political move that said much about McCain's famous sense of "duty" to his country. Was she ready to step into his shoes if needed? Plainly, no. Will she be ready in four years? I'll eat a moose, gristle and all, if she is.
P.S. My post should have read "I don't", not "I've don't"... See, I'm not ready to be President, either. At least I know it.

If Biden steps in for Obama, he'll have more experience than his former boss.
Biden gets flak for being a moron, but he is a dangerous and immoral man who colluded with the Soviets in oppressing their own 'citizens' and persecution of Jews trying to flee to Israel during the Cold War. To take heat off of the Communists that were taking a pounding by the Western media at the time.
