Thanks for the post Charles,
One of our Australias greatest performers.
He has a brother Phil who is also a great guitar player, but a lot rockier.
He often does Guitar Clinics after shows, I have had the pleasure of playing with him in Byron Bay.
Hes also a wonderful Christian, if you ever see him interviewed he is very humble.
This has always blown me away.
Chet Atkins was a great influence on him in his early days...
Cheers

Anyone notice the new cleaner look for the right sidebar?
I'm still playing with ads and affiliate placement systems. The Blog now has an option to place 468x60 ads at intervals between the front page posts, and in the daily posts.
Right now it's set to show an ad every 5 posts. If this is really annoying to you, speak now or forever hold your peace.
I do have the ability to easily turn this feature on and off.

I'd say let's use this thread as a test case. If it messes things up, I'll argue against it.

I like how the lightly green colored background frames the ads on the right sidebar. Makes it clear they're adds, and sets off the product.
Looks very clean.

Although I am a Christian, I don't enjoy much contemporary Christian music. I tend to be more impressed by rockers who try to be Christian, than by Christians to try to rock. However, I have always been amazed by Phil Keaggy, and it isn't because he's missing fingers from his strumming hand, either.

People were talking yesterday about the new look for the right-hand column - the green background, etc. It looks nice.
I went to the front page to see what was happening, and didn't notice that the ads after every 5th post were distracting at all.
But I don't understand what you mean by ad intervals in the daily posts.

But I don't understand what you mean by ad intervals in the daily posts.
The daily posts are the ones organized by day. There are two ways to get into them right now: 1) by clicking the 'daily archives' button that pops up a calendar to let you choose a day (e.g., that's what I use when I want to know what I posted last Tuesday), or 2) clicking the link at the top and bottom of the front page center column, that says 'Yesterday'.

I said my prayers one night and asked God to give me lyrics to
a song that he wanted to touch people's hearts, and lo and behold, in
the middle of the night, I wrote "I'm Your Captain." The following
morning as I sat in the big kitchen at the farmhouse, I grabbed my axe
out of the corner and started strumming. Between sips of coffee, I
was moved to play the chord changes that you now recognize in "I'm
Your Captain." I went to my bedroom, grabbed the lyrics, brought them
back out, and put this song together over a cup of coffee and took it
to reheasal that day. The guys loved it and so do millions of people
around the world.

Arrrgh! Clear the table, I need to bang my head! (and not in time with the music)
I'm the moderator of a message board for people with heart defects. As you may expect, the group is wound up over H1N1 and the availability of the vaccine. We had a lady post that H1N1 is 5 times as deadly as seasonal flu, then commented "I guess the vaccine will be available once the entire county has been wiped out."
Arrrgh! That's true, but the CFR of Seasonal Flu is less than 0.1% So H1N1 kills (Better sit down!) less than 0.5% of all cases!
Proportionally it is higher for those of us with underlying health conditions, but an exaggeration is an exaggeration, especially when your group is trying to get out factual information.
Then in the same message she is all worked up because the Obama children recived the H1N1 shot, and why couldn't that shot be saved for someone who couldn't get the shot? That made no sense. But the article she cited First Daughters receive H1N1 Vaccine says they got the vaccine; it says nothing about if it was the injection or the the mist.
In true LGF fashion I called her out on both statements. Ya'll would have been proud!

I agree. Heard of Tackhead? Bunch of American industrial/funk heavyweights in collaboration with UK dub producer Adrian Sherwood back in the late eighties. Rare (in youtube terms) but I did find this -sound quality isn't great I'm afraid:

Hell, no. I have never posted over there, nor will I ever do so. But, I do keep an eye on those jerks sometimes as a "know your enemy" exercise. Last night that guy was reposting my comments and taking insulting riffs on them. So I decided to take the opportunity tonight to flip him the bird. I don't like being mocked. Most of the time I take it in stride, especially if it is good natured like it is here. But when jerks decide to insult me and my friends repeatedly, I sometimes feel the need to say something about it.
