Especially now that she is demonstrating her cowardice (a la The Sarah) in not answering questions certainly the good people of Delaware realize that O'Donnell is not even fit to run the local dog catcher's office.

And, according to Wiki, a bunch of underhanded fucks:

On August 16, 2010, the American TFP posted a poll on its Web site asking visitors whether or not it agreed with U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker's overturning of California's Proposition 8, a ballot proposition which sought to ban same-sex marriage. The question the TFP posed was, "What do you think about Judge Walker's decision to overturn Prop. 8 banning same-sex 'marriage' in California?". [29] As of 3 p.m. on August 16, 84.5% of respondents had answered, "I support the decision." However, around 4 p.m. on the same day, the TFP had altered this answer, changing it to, "It is an irrational decision denying the nature and purpose of marriage."[30]

The American TFP's worldview is based on Corrêa de Oliveira's 1959 study, Revolution and Counter-Revolution. According to the aims laid out in this book, TFP acts to oppose the anti-Christian process that has undermined Christian civilization since the 14th century, the "Revolution" of the study's title. This "Revolution" has three phases which progressively undermine the Church and social order:

1. The Protestant "Pseudo-Reformation" and its rejection of religious authority and inequality, in particular the Pope.
2. The "Enlightenment" and the French Revolution and its rejection of temporal authority, in particular the King and nobility.
3. The Communist Revolution and its rejection of economic inequality.

They hate the Enlightenment. That's rich.

The group has also been involved in other public and political actions, such as protesting the 2009 invitation to President Barack Obama to deliver the commencement address at the University of Notre Dame.[9] The president of TFP, Raymond E. I don't remember the name but if memory serves they're a teaching order that provides many of the instructors for the area's Catholic schools.

I'd expect some urban/rural differences, too. Gotta stay away from Hugenot turf, though.

Dude, you are lucky that the IRS hasn't found a problem with your previous returns. Geithner went under the microscope and of course a problem was found. Hello! Any any any of us, who claim deductions, same. (I do tax prep tyvm)

Now, collecting campaign contributions, then using them to pay the rent, cable and mobile bill? TOTAL BULLSHIT. And in no way comparable.

I have no doubt I have gotten my taxes wrong, but I have done by my best to get it right. Geither got a letter from his employer explaining that he owed taxes on the extra compensation. He is stupid, careless, or dishonest. Take your pick. Which is it? This is what business owners deal with every day.

It's a good policy to have. Catholic organizations especially tend to perform quite a lot of charitable work. Even the reactionaries we're talking about almost certainly devote a large amount of the money they raise to charities, as well helping poor children get into Catholic schools (which can truly be a lifesaver, in as far as it gains the child access to a much better education than they would have otherwise had).

I worry too. We all try to do our best. But using the fact that Geithner got busted under the microscope is such a joke (and obviously it will never end) anyone under a microscope WHO HAS DEDUCTIONS is subject to question, and really from my experience - very bustable. Yeah we try to be honest at the same time trying for every possible deduction. .

No comparison, which is how this all started, with Christine. She has cheated on the rules of campaign finance.

I was clubbing when Devo was popular. There was a retro/fusion, kind of punk type club called Fire and Ice in the design district in Miami. It spawned a whole fashion culture of its own that was interesting. Fun was the word du jour of the 80s.

YOU BROUGHT UP TIMOTHY GEITHNER and damnit if I didn't fall for the dodge.

Geithner wasn't under a microscope. Face it. He cheated on his taxes, willfully and repeatedly. He'd been warned in writing. He ignored the warning.

I think that's what's got the Right scared shitless right now, same with Crist. Namely that fear that, with a sane Republican on the ballet next to the Tea Party character, they'll succeed in splitting the vote so badly that the Democrat wins. The Tea Party candidates now can't just run on the "Not a Democrat" platform, they also have to explain why they're different from their Republican challengers.

That's true in Alaska, less so right now in Florida. Rubio's got a good lead, and he's not faltering. It's Rubio's race to lose at this point. He holds strong, he wins. And I can live with that. In fact, I've come to favor him over Crist.

A negative side effect of too strong a currency:

Automakers to boost ROK parts sourcing / Japanese firms seek remedies for strong yen

Seeking a way out of a decline in their international competitiveness caused by the strong yen, major Japanese automakers, including Toyota Motor Corp. and Nissan Motor Co., will begin full-scale procurement of low-cost auto parts from South Korean suppliers, The Yomiuri Shimbun has learned.

The Yen is too high... so fewer can afford Japanese goods, especially here in the US.

Well, we'll just have to settle for something American, like ACDC.

I'm not a denier, you know that. Rubio's not insane, and given time it may be possible to bring him around. But he has the aggression needed right now and the drive to excel. And unlike Engle and O'Donnell, he's smart. Resisting everyone the Tea Party put forward is impractical, so i made sure to find one of them I could live with.

As far as Illinois goes, the Machine has proved to be Sweeney Todd. Mark Kirk will be a much better Senator than Gianoulious even could be. I've seen what the Machine does, Cato, and my hatred of it has only grown as the years have passed. I want its influence reduced. Mark Kirk and Bill Brady are the men to do that. That is enough to gain my vote.

I'm an accountant also. When it comes to self-employed people, I say three words--"Document. Document. Document."

Seriously. When you drive somewhere on business, write it down, where, how many miles, who you were seeing. If you don't track the mileage, use mapquest to find out. Entertainment and meals, same thing. Keep your receipts for everything. Keep separate business and personal bank accounts. If you pay personal expenses out of the business account, note it in the checkbook (use the type with stubs). If you pay business expenses out of your personal account, note it in the business checkbook. If you transfer money from one account to the other, note it on the bank statements. And, of course, hire a good accountant. ;-) And never, EVER, talk to the IRS without your accountant; better yet, let him/her/it do ALL the talking.

Did someone post this from Anderson Cooper about her?
[Link: www.cnn.com...]

He interviews a woman from the watchdog group who said they won't have the investigation done by November. It takes many months. That would be a grand jury investigation? I'm guessing? I was called to a grand jury once, but I was moving, leaving the state, and was dismissed. Kind of upset me. I think it would be pretty cool to serve on a grand jury.

I was summoned for federal grand jury duty during my last semester of college, probably not unrelated to my being on the school paper staff and not being scared of the school administration. Ironically, I got out of it by enlisting the aid of a school VP who hated the school president, whom he called "a bean-counting dimwit sent here by the Jesuit provincial to make the school profitable if intellectually barren."

I don't know if you were around for Jimmy Peanut's "heyday". When he went on and on about "national malaise" and such, he wasn't trying to get the country to hang in and work hard to overcome the immense problems of the day; it was more like, "it sucks, just lie back and take it, it doesn't really matter what you do."
