Breitbart Pushes Yet Another Deceptively Edited Video

The video fraudster does it again
Wingnuts • Views: 25,959

Andrew Breitbart’s “Big Government” smear site is pushing yet another deceptively edited video, targeting two University of Missouri pro-union professors by cutting their statements up into grossly distorted excerpts to make it appear as if they’re advocating violence.

At this point, Breitbart and his cohorts are only playing to the choir, because anyone who’s not a complete fool knows better than to trust one of his edited videos.

Saw them foaming at the mouths abuot this video at Gateway Pundit a few days ago. Had a feeling even then that there was something taken out
of context, so this is far from shocking.

Whenever I read something over there, and look at that photo of Jim Hoft you have, I always picture his saliva flying all over as he talks….

Way back in the dawn of time (2004) there was a terrible movie: Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. One of the things various viewers found almost completely absurd (above the rest of the absurdity) was the way the reporter (Heather Jasper-Howe) would selectively edit what the gang said and did to present a totally false report using nothing but the truth. I’ve called such behavior scooby doo quotes ever since watching it. (Yes it was a terrible movie. Yet I’ve been a sucker for Scooby Doo for years.)

It appears that the gang failed to remove all the masks off the evil masked villain, and Jonathan Jacobo was really Andrew Breitbart, still making scooby doo quotes of all the good guys.

Maybe just maybe we wouldn’t play the race card if the damned right wing wasn’t obsessed with hating on the president because his upbrining wasn’t up to their standards. Or the numerous racist posters we’ve seen. Blaming the left for the right’s racism, so typical of the right. Always lecturing others about personal responsibility but never want to take any for themselves. Fucking douchebags. Sorry, in a bad mood today so I have no patience of tolerance for these jerks.

This always drives me nuts

HOOVER: That’s exactly what I was saying. So unbelievably predictable. This is a reflex of the left whenever anything goes wrong that’s absolutely at all related to race, they play the race card. They say you’re outright racist. Here’s the reality. We are so far from that point in our history in the 1960s. Past Martin Luther King Jr., past the civil rights movement, past the really ugly, evil racism of the Bull Connor era. That is not the America we live in today.

That was fifty damn years ago….not even a freaking generation.

Got into this discussion with my pops about a year ago….finally I’d had enough. “Dad, this was fifty years ago. Do you think if you had not been allowed into the same schools as others because of the color of your skin, not been able to get the job you hold now because of the color of your skin, not been able to use the same damn bathrooms as other Americans that I wouldn’t hold a little resentment? That our family would be in the same economic situation that we are today?”

He used to bring that up all the time….haven’t heard it from him since

re: #13 Kragar (Proud to be Kafir)

Margaret Hoover knows there’s something going on, but O’Reilly can always outbluster her.

HOOVER: However, I do think that when Donald Trump says, “This guy had to get into Harvard anyway,” and he’s hinting towards affirmative action, and when there is a widespread movement to delegitimize the president to say he’s not American enough, I think it’s not unrelated to race.

O’REILLY: There’s a difference between — there’s a difference between — wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait. There’s a difference between raising questions about how he advanced in his academic life and calling him out on his skin color. I think there’s a difference there.

HOOVER: I think there’s a difference, but I think it’s a subtle one. And I think it does hint at affirmative action, which is a racial issue.

Karl Rove

Since Mr. Obama can’t make an affirmative case for his re-election, he has decided to try convincing voters that Republicans are monstrous. As a result, America is likely to see the most negative re-election campaign ever mounted by a sitting president.

I’ll say it but right wingers never want to take any responsibility for the shitty stuff their side does. THey always expect the left to but if you expect them to, you get accused of playing the race card or some crap like this. Yes, we’re a better society than we were in the 60’s no doubt about it when it comes to race but we still have to grow. Hell, if you ask me, in some ways, we’ll always be needing to grow.

Texas bans Planned Parenthood from Medicaid Women’s Health Program

A Texas Senate subcommittee has advanced legislation barring Planned Parenthood from continuing as a member of the Medicaid Women’s Health Program.

The vote Thursday night would renew the program for low-income women for five years but exclude abortion providers or abortion affiliates.

Republican state Sen. Bob Deuell said he authored the bill to provide access to as many women as possible while also honoring the wishes of groups opposed to public funding of abortions.

Planned Parenthood calls the legislation the latest in a series of attacks to defund the group. The group said 40,000 women will be immediately denied access to health care.

Nice to see that Texas really values the health of women just so these legislators can get cheap shots in at planned parenthood.

Yeah, pretty much. Contrary to what many on the right believe about the left, I don’t believe the average conservative to be a bigot, but I do think conservatives especially those in the media are insensitive to prejudice.

Charles, I think you greatly overestimate the integrity of the news/entertainment industry. Having watched the wall to wall coverage of Donald Trump’s birther tour, it is difficult to eve see any journalistic standards from the American news media, so I personally expect full and credulous media coverage as though Britebart were an honest and reputable journalist.

I am glad I am going on a six day vacation in 2 weeks. Off with our friends to Jamaica. I am not even reading the newspaper or the watching TV. I’m going to encourage my husband to leave his laptop at home. Pool, ocean, lots of alcohol, sight seeing, books, sleeping. I think I just need a break from the US.

On the front page of Huff Po there’s a post that ” Superman Renouncing American Citizenship In ‘Action Comics #900’”, man, it’s so bad that our comics want nothing to do with us.

Let’s be honest, the only reason that a lot of that shit is no longer practiced is because it’s illegal, not because society has grown up and moved past it. The Civil Rights movement succeeded in changing the law so that minorities are, in principle, treated equally in the eyes of the law. But, in reality, the same prejudices and hatreds are still there, are still pulling the levers. Yet, it’s the same hatred and distrust of affirmative action that make it necessary, because without it there’s a lot of folks who still would not be able to get a fair shake from the system.

It should, and if Sherrod’s attorneys are as good as I think they are, they’ll use it to show a pattern of purposeful malfeasance. This is what he does - he’ll lie, obfuscate, and manipulate videos to further a political objective, and he doesn’t care that someone like Sherrod is harmed by those videos.

I’m usually not a big fan of legal action, but one good thing about our legal system is that it is supposed to protect Americans from this kind of blatant, false attack on one’s reputation. So I hope that Breitbart is sued by anyone whose reputation he intentionally and undeservedly smears. A destroyed reputation, obviously, can and does have a devastating impact on a person’s life.
