After two matrasses sellers left the show, Rush can now say bye-bye to another advertiser.
The following verses apply to Rush, but I do not wish for his demise:
How do you get your sleep at night?
How did you get your noose so tight?
Like chewing on tinfoil, it's so much fun
Gonna be dead before your goneCause look how things have gotten
And I'll be happy so I won't pretend
And I'll be cheering that you're going down
And I'll be laughing, I'll be laughingHow many feelings can you steal?
Gotta be part of your appeal
I can see through you cause you're wearing thin
Like chewing on tinfoil once againCause look how things have gotten
And I'll be happy so I won't pretend
And I'll be cheering that you're going down
And I'll be laughing
Ha Ha you're dead
And I'm so happy
In loving memory
Of your demiseWhen your ship is going down
I'll go out and paint the town
Ha Ha you're dead
Ha Ha you're dead
Ha Ha you're dead
And here's the song:

A Statement from David Friend, CEO of Carbonite as of 6:45pm ET, March 3:
“No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.”

Do you respect her?
What does it say that she needs to have sex so badly that she practically begs Congress to pay for it for her?
Society does treat women like children or retards so Rush had to give the oligatory apology or this woman probably commits suicide or something.
***
Bizarro world. 60 years ago a slut like that would have been chased out of town. Today she gets an apology for being called what she is and an admiring phone call from the president.
***
Our hero, the town pump. Plaintiff number one in :WE THE HOEs vs Common Sense.
***
If she is not a slut… she is a petri dish for STDs and we’ll be paying for that next – just wait.
***
Rush should NOT have apologized! If this woman is spending $3,000 + on “birth control” than this clearly means that she is having FAR to much sex & that puts her in the category of “slut”, white trash, whore, or at best amateur porn star! A slut by any other name is still a slut!
***
By the way, I would love to see her sue Rush. Ask any lawyer. Discovery is a B-I-T-C-H. I can just see the anal exam of a days’ long deposition exploring every sex act she has ever done or had done on her and the depositions of every single sex partner she has ever had.
YeHaaaah, baby! You just run along and tell her to sue.
Please, please, please, with sugar on top…and chocolate sprinkles…and marshmallows…and pistachios…and Oreo crumbles…and chocolate chunks…and Reese’s Pieces…and walnuts…and M&Ms…and chocolate whipped cream…and Irish coffee-flavoured whipped cream…and a cherry…no, make that three cherries!
Did I forget to say, “please”?
***
Heh, I was leaning toward Photoshop… until I saw those hands… those hands, at which point I Googled *Fluke transgender*, (which got me nowhere). Still, those hands, especially for a 30 year old, are… to use a favorite word of Brit Hume… remarkable.
***
Ok….is that 5 o’clock lip shadow for real or a photoshop?
***
How much money did you two losers send to the classy lady Fluke so she can have her way with the Georgetown bball team?? It’s her right you know and she needs alittle help getting around.

I keep wondering what the hell that word means anymore.
Does it mean approving of raging sexism and misogyny against women who testify before Congress? Does it mean approving of the rampant racism and xenophobia that has been thrown at our current POTUS since 2008? Does it mean approving of the anti-woman, anti-science, anti-intellectual, anti-reason streak the GOP has been on for years now?

Admit they hate that women now work outside the home, and get educated, and have careers and lives that go beyond having kids, and that women have agency over their bodies.

Molesting kids and hiding it for years, still not a big deal.
And it won't be. The Vatican and the rest of the institutional Church would rather fight over birth control than admit that they have covered up sexual abuse in their ranks for decades.

Another level of wrong, comment on 'Ace of Spades':
I'm sorry I thought spending 3 grand a year on rubbers made you a dirty whore, apparently it makes u a hero.
For misogynists, it does, if you're a guy.
If a guy spend a lot of money for contraception, it's a measure of his virility and gets him high-fives from like-minded mouthbreathers. If a woman spends that much just on the Pill, even if she uses it primarily to control disease/dysfunctions (as Fluke's friend/example did), she's a dirty, slutty whore who needs to keep hers legs shut.
Unless she's boning one of them, of course; even then, it's no guarantee that they still won't slut-shame her.

They think it because they look at $3000 in 3 years and, from an automatic male position, assume that she's talking about condoms. I still have wingnuts who are swearing up and down to me that there's no way you rack up $3000 in 3 years on contraception, that she's either lying or she's a slut.

That is precisely it. Rush is smart enough to understand these issues, yet is throwing red meat ignorance to his listeners. He's doing it for the money, of course, which makes him a bigger, filthier prostitute than anyone he's ever attacked with such a label.

Most who crave power and money are prostituting themselves, it's just a matter of degree.

Still it isn't really Rush who is the problem, it is the hordes of followers he has who knowingly put aside their humanity for a few hours every day to become one of his mindlessly angry and agitated drones. They support him, not because they believe him, but because he makes the world so simple...

And, here in the South, both parties tended to indulge in this behavior (and still do sometimes), depending on their constituency; see Tipper Gore (with support from Al) and the PMRC, for a relatively benign example.

Just finished watching the Maddow segment. Calling Rush an ignorant, uneducated dummy may be a well calculated jab to provoke a response from Rush.
I'm relatively confident that she knows he's not an idiot, but phrasing her criticisms in such terms may force Rush to either admit that he is an ignorant, uneducated dummy, or admit that he does know about the biology of this issue thus making him look like a total asshole.
Of course, he could end up simply ignoring this insult, or deflecting it by slinging his own insults unrelated to the topic.

Santorum, Bachmann, Palin, Beck, Limbaugh and other reality-challenged politicians and pundits have embraced ignorance of the modern world, and they regard a distrust of the well-educated as an attribute to be used in their desire to be perceived as "just one of the common folk" … albeit very wealthy common folk.
Once again, conservatives are demonstrating their unwillingness to do their homework before taking a stand on important policy positions affecting millions of Americans. Lord knows we don't want to be informed about the fundamentals of human biology and medical treatments when creating legislation that would impact the health of so many women in America.
And we certainly don't want our national leaders to be eloquent, scientifically literate, and generally well-informed about the world in which we live. Much better to derive scientific theories based on the teachings of the Bible, and to form national public policy based on the rumors, gossip, and unverified anecdotal accounts taken from online blogs.
In addition, sanctimonious, chest-thumping conservative politicians and pundits indignantly proclaim that their religious views on sexual morality and procreation are being violated by the Obama Administration.
Of course, the irony is that many women take birth control pills as a means to regulate hormonal imbalances, not for preventing pregnancy per se. Should an employer who is a Jehovah's Witness be allowed to deny health coverage for blood transfusions and organ transplants?
Last time I checked, the United States was a Democratic Republic, not a Christian theocracy.
