Barton: Intolerance of Gays is a Sign of Spiritual Revival
In the episode entitled "Revival And Reformation," Green asked Barton just how people would know if a revival was taking place in the nation and Barton stated that the spiritual changes brought about by revival lead to political changes, so one of the signs of revival is that society stops tolerating homosexuality:

This one actually seemed to be the meat of the matter to me:
Congress’s capacity to react in a sensible way also came into some question, particularly from Justice Scalia and, in a way, from Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, both of whom seemed to harbor doubts that the lawmakers would be up to the task of working out a new health care law if this one failed, either totally or partially. Scalia noted the problems in the filibuster-prone Senate. Kennedy wondered whether expecting Congress to perform was a reference to “the real Congress or the hypothetical Congress.”

It's all there in black and white
Old Testament:
Lev 20:13 If a man also lies with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be on them.
New Testament
Romans 1:24-27
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful deisres of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degradings of their bodies with one another...
26: Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. Int he same way the men also abandoned natural relationswith women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion
Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deived: Niether the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adultereers nor male prostitutes nor HOMOSEXUAL offenders.
Barton and his buddies insist that our nation's laws must be in line with (their interpretation) of God's Law or we will fall from His grace, lose our "exceptional" status and be cast upon the scrap heap of history like all the other great fallen empires.
So there is more at stake here than just a guys and girls getting it on with partners of their own gender, THE VERY FUTURE OF AMERICA IS AT STAKE!

Gee, ya think?
Trayvon Martin: George Zimmerman's story may not hold up to scrutiny
If the teen was kneeling, presumably, on top of George Zimmerman, punching him or slamming his head into the concrete walkway between the facing backyards, how did Trayvon wind up lying face down with HIS feet on the sidewalk and his face in the grass? If Zimmerman's account is true, shouldn't Trayvon's body have wound up with his face toward the sidewalk and his feet in the grass? Even if, after the gunshot, Trayvon fell on top of Zimmerman and the larger man pushed him off, why didn't the body land face up, beside Zimmerman, rather than a 180 degree turn from the sidewalk -- and flipped over?

Another Stand Your Ground case:
Miami-Dade Chief Assistant State Attorney Kathleen Hoague, who trains her office’s lawyers in self-defense cases, said her office would appeal the decision because “we feel the judge abused her discretion.”
“The law does not allow for you to use deadly force to retrieve your property. She, in effect, is saying that it’s appropriate to chase someone down with a knife to get property back,” said Hoague, who stressed that a jury should weigh the merits of the case.
The case unfolded the morning of Jan. 25, when Garcia discovered Roteta and another man rummaging through his truck and stealing its radio. Garcia grabbed a knife and chased Roteta, who took off running.
After more than a block, Garcia caught up with Roteta. Garcia’s defense attorney said Roteta swung a bag filled with three stolen car radios at Garcia’s head.
At a hearing earlier this month, a “medical examiner conceded that a 4-6 pound bag of metal being swung at one’s head would lead to serious bodily injury or death,” Bloom wrote.
As Garcia blocked the bag with his arm, he countered with a single, fatal knife thrust to the chest.
Garcia, speaking to Miami homicide detectives, initially denied involvement. But after he was shown the surveillance video, Garcia admitted he chased down Roteta to get his radio back.
At first, Garcia claimed Roteta had a screwdriver in his hand. Then, he admitted he did not see a weapon but feared for his life when the bag of radios was swung at him, according to Bloom’s order.
Judge needs to learn the difference between "defense" and "retaliation."

I seem to recall reading (here) that Martin's phone was locked. A locked phone - even a deactivated phone, at least where I am - can still make emergency calls.
