It’s Friday and it’s damned hot in LA, but not as hot as the groove in this great track from the new album by Incognito.

Prior to the release of Incognito’s long awaited 16th studio album “Amplified Soul” on May 30th , earMUSIC will premiere the video to the first single, the catchy number “Hats (Make Me Wanna Holler)”.

The video to the song, which features Tony Momrelle (Sade, Reel People) on lead vocals, was directed and produced by nobody less than Manex Efrem, who is best known for his work on Hollywood blockbusters such as Gravity (2013), Blood Diamond (2006) and The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and music videos by artists such as Chaka Khan.

Love this track! Best groove I’ve heard in a long while, and it’s not just sampled and repeated over and over. That’s the real funk there.

For those not aware, there has been a long battle by some to get political control of the NSF and the grants given out, and the current GOP wants to ensure they can tell what science research is conducted with gov’t money.

I’d love to live in an alternate world where that kind of Congressional demand to meddle with the NSF is met with the withering scorn it deserves.
