Why does anybody think Mom wants “breakfast in bed”?

Gah. The SECOND TO LAST PLACE I would ever want to eat breakfast is “in bed.” Who wants toast crumbs & coffee spills in the linens? Then you have to strip the bed and change the linen. GUESS WHO HAS TO DO THAT.

And of course the kitchen is a total disaster and GUESS WHO HAS TO CLEAN IT ALL UP.

Agreed. The only place you should have breakfast in bed is at a hospital.

This lack of understanding of history really is the most frustrating thing.

Correlation, causation; how do they work?

THANK YOU! My Husband seems to think I’m weird because breakfast in bed is just dumb. Unless I am hurt or otherwise immobilized, just. NO. And I do not want my manly ones, as much as I adore them. in my kitchen (and yes it’s mine. She who shops, cooks and cleans get claiming rights). Hell, they make a mess just making coffee and cereal for themselves in the morning. Cooking? Oh, hell to the no.
