Worse, they did this in A PUBLIC PARKING LOT. The kicker? The Sheriff admits the story is true. They also claim they found marijuana (not specified where) and the dangerous if improbably cooperative offender was arrested.

Cops Forcibly Search Woman’s Vagina After Smelling Weed in Her Car

Worse, they did this in A PUBLIC PARKING LOT. The kicker? The Sheriff admits the story is true. They called for two female officers to conduct the assault search, then yanked the victims’s pants down in public but they claim she consented to the search. They also claim they found marijuana (not specified where) and the dangerous if improbably cooperative offender was arrested.

The Zombie American Dream

[Embedded content]

I realize there are Americans out there who are still hurting, but MrBWS and I suffered seriously during the Bush years…no health insurance and living on what we made from whatever part-time minimum wage jobs we could find, and we were still at the poverty level.
Barack Obama was elected and thanks to him signing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, MrBWS was able to get the additional required training (a Class A CDL) to get back to work as an apprentice lineman by October 2009. It was at a non-union company, but it was a fulltime job and we weren’t desperately poor anymore.
A year later, he moved to a union company, passed his lineman’s exam, and we now pay more in federal taxes each year than we ever had for actual gross annual income each year during the Bush Administration.
And we are NOT COMPLAINING.
No way in hell do we want to go back to those “exceptional” times in America that Trump and the rest of the GOP are shilling.

Same story here. I worked for a total of 2 years during the Bush regime, and all my jobs were shitty short term contracts. The automakers were afraid to give out long term contracts and entire departments were being eliminated or sent overseas.

I still remember that when Trump started his Obama birther nonsense, he showed what he said was his certified birth certificate in 2012.

Certified!!!!

As the multimillionaire real estate mogul mulls a presidential bid, he has turned up the volume on his calls for President Obama to release his own birth certificate. Trump has become so dead set on this issue that on Monday he released a copy of his own birth certificate to Newsmax, conservative website. It shows that Donald John Trump was born at Jamaica Hospital in New York June 14, 1946, at 10:54 a.m.

(It now appears that Trump did not release an official copy of his own birth certificate today but rather a “hospital certificate of birth.” Official birth certificates are issued by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The document that Trump released to the media today was provided by Jamaica Hospital.)

When 20-year-old Gilbert Phelps was pulled over in Iowa City last week for allegedly speeding and having an obstructed registration sticker, Iowa City Police Department Officer Ben Hektoen detected an odor of “ingested alcohol” inside the suspect’s Toyota Camry. When questioned, Phelps copped to smoking marijuana before getting behind the wheel and later failed field-sobriety tests. Although a breathalyzer test turned up nothing, it was concluded that Phelps was under the influence of cannabis and not fit to operate a motor vehicle.

After Phelps was brought into the police station for testing, however, I’m not sure who the better sport was about the whole thing, as Phelps decided to capture the moment for posterity with a Snapchat selfie, which Officer Hektoen “happily obliged” to. The 20-year-old told the officer that he captioned the photo with emoji icons showing “a police car, next to a passenger car, next to a tow truck.”

Laws, like taxes, only apply to the little people. Trump would simply ignore that requirement and dare anyone to make him do it.

That article about Walker and ALEC was really scary. The Kochs AND ALEC pushing him? Creeps me right out.

talkingpointsmemo.com

Walker honestly is the one that disturbs me the most of the guys who I think could be nominated. I am still not convinced Trump is likely to be nominated.

i hope future historians tell of the American right’s eight long temper tantrum during Barack Obama’s presidency because that’s all the right has done since Obama got elected. One giant shitty diaper temper tantrum.

The answer depends a lot on which seasonings and side dishes you have on hand.

@Green_Footballs
Obviously you must welcome that cat into your home.

Reminds me of the cat, Alpo, that lived with my brothers for a time.
One day it just showed up, and they started feeding it.
It would hang out a few days, then disappear for a few.
After a couple years of this their upstairs neighbor was walking by, as the cat was hanging out with them at their open front door, and said “my cat isn’t bothering you, is he?”

It probably isn’t over yet. They’ll go to the state legislature to overrule your town.

Oh, it’s a long, arduous process (of course, Icky Nikki Haley is a big Drill Baby Drill fan.) But at least there’s considerable pushback against big oil just rolling over everybody. And just about every coastal city/town has come out against it, as well as some upstate areas. Our town was one of the last in the state to finally pass a resolution.

Check out the Oceania site.

I guess history has a way of unfortunately repeating itself.
My dad was amazed that anyone would vote for Reagan, he ended up winning in a landslide twice.
I was amazed that anyone would vote for Bush’s reelection.
And now my kid brother is amazed that anyone would consider Trump. Hopefully this is the trend that gets broken.

I assume a lot of the pushback is because no one wants to swim in an oily beach and that would be bad for the business interests that I imagine are huge in your town. I love swimming in the ocean too but protecting our oceans shouldn’t just be a principle so we can keep on enjoying swimming in our oceans but also so future generations can enjoy it and also protect the sea life there.

The comments on RedState and National Review Online in articles relating to Trump are one source of information for this (in addition to being very entertaining reading).

As far as I can tell, Trumpism is driven mainly by the “mad as Hell and won’t take it any more” contingent of the GOP base.

No duh. Now the people I am really wondering about are the people who are on the Jim Gilmore bandwagon. I mean really. Was polling below 1% in 2008 when the GOP was somewhat still sane not warning enough to this guy?

Absolutely for future generations. But, as much as the API touts JOBS (their numbers are idiotic—35,000 jobs over 20 years—big yawn), a state that is so reliant on tourism as ours is would be idiotic to jeopardize it so oil companies can get richer. Their claim of “energy independence, lower energy costs, bazillions of jobs, etc.” really sound hollow.

Yep. I really need to check out the beach your way some day by the way. My folks honeymooned in Mrytle. I myself have never been to that area before. Hear the water is really warm and the waves are good. I haven’t gotten that ever. Either the water’s on the more cold side and plenty of waves or it’s like South Florida where my uncle lived and the water is awesomely warm but there’s no waves for the catching.

It really is a nice beach. And very visitor friendly—free public parking lots every 2 blocks in the city, with well-maintained walkways to the beach and showers. You don’t find that much anymore.

Laws, like taxes, only apply to the little people. Trump would simply ignore that requirement and dare anyone to make him do it.

I’m sure that Trump has amassed a dossier on most politicos and judges that would make Hoover turn green with envy.

The comparison of Trump to the altered-timeline 80s Biff Tannen of Back to the Future II is not only apt, it’s almost so fucking spot-on, it’s scary.
