Donald Trump: Ted Cruz Is a “Very Nasty Guy”

When nasty guys attack
Politics • Views: 51,219

You won’t see me write these words very often, but Donald Trump is right. Ted Cruz is a very nasty guy, and not even his Senate colleagues like him.

Of course, Donald Trump is also a very nasty guy. And that, dear readers, is exactly why these are the two right wing front-runners in the presidential race; nasty, privileged white guys are very popular with the conservative base.

This is what it looked and sounded like when carnival barkers fought about the relative merits of each’s cooch dancing tent.

I think what continues to stick out to me is that none of Cruz’s colleagues are coming to his rescue. Even his fellow “true conservatives” are mum on these attacks by Trump. If you needed an idea of just how hated this guy is by his own party, just listen to the sound of silence coming from the Senate every time Trump jams another knife into the back of his former bromance partner.

They don’t like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz because they’re better at working the rubes.

Nothing from the mouths of these two men is unique or outlying, contrasted with what has been produced by conservative “pundits,” elected officials, and news sources, over the past sixteen years.

Contextually, what is “nasty”?

It’s being explicit about the stuff that supposed to be implicit; to make the code words and subtext, text. To actually state something, not “asking questions.”

The rest of the GOP are trying to pretend like they’re just purveyors and connoisseurs of exotic Bavarian muscle dancing. Trump and Cruz are giving the mopes more of the full-frontal stupid-and-angry that they want.

Looks like the Northwest sportsball team is trying to make the game against the Southern sportsball team interesting and not what appeared to be a Southern sportsball team blowout.

They decided to make up for not scoring enough points in the initial period by scoring more points in the subsequent period, so as to have more points than their opponent.

New custom tag today — the [code] tag, which lets you post a lovely formatted code snippet in one of several different programming languages.

Here’s a Javascript example, the code that converts text into “title case” for LGF Pages.

String.prototype.toTitleCase = function(){
  var smallWords = /^(a|an|and|as|at|but|by|en|for|if|in|nor|of|on|or|per|the|to|vs?\.?|via|o')$/i;

  return this.replace(/[A-Za-z0-9\u00C0-\u00FF]+[^\s-]*/g, function(match, index, title){
    if (index > 0 && index + match.length !== title.length &&
      match.search(smallWords) > -1 && title.charAt(index - 2) !== ":" &&
      (title.charAt(index + match.length) !== '-' || title.charAt(index - 1) === '-') &&
      title.charAt(index - 1).search(/[^\s-]/) < 0) {
      return match.toLowerCase();
    }

    if (match.substr(1).search(/[A-Z]|\../) > -1) {
      return match;
    }

    return match.charAt(0).toUpperCase() + match.substr(1);
  });
};

What I can’t understand about Cruz or Trump is why in the hell any working class person would trust either one of them to look out for their interests. They’re both overfed and soft—I mean physically—they’re both paunch-bellied. privileged men who’ve never had to do tough, manual labor for any length of time.

I can tell by their hands. They both have hands with smooth, unblemished skin. No scars, no calluses, just smooth softness. Maybe they even get manicures. None of the men in my family have/had hands like that; the plumber who came to fix my sink this past Monday didn’t have hands like that. I don’t trust hands like that, hands that have never seen an extended period of tough, honest physical labor. Even most men who have white collar jobs don’t have those kind of pristine, pampered hands.

I don’t care how much they play dress-up by wearing cowboy boots/hats, baseball caps. hunting camouflage, etc. they’re still physically soft. Spoiled… entitled… not to be trusted because they don’t really understand or care about people like me.

LOL—I just had a thought: You know what they should do? Have a basketball game. There are enough of them for at least two teams. Have them play against POTUS and whoever is on his usual WH b-ball team. Whichever contender ends up not being sent to the hospital and looks the least ridiculous at the end of the game wins the GOP nomination.

How many of you would buy tickets to that? They’d be sold out in a heartbeat.

WYATT EARP THEME SONG.wmv

I’ll tell you a story
A real true life story
A tale of the Western frontier

The West it was lawless
But one man was flawless
And his is the story you’ll hear.

CHORUS
Wyatt Earp, Wyatt Earp, brave courageous and bold.
Long live his fame and long live his glory
And long may his story be told.

He came to Kansas
To settle in Kansas
He planned on a peaceable life.

Some goods and some chattel
A few head of cattle
A home and a sweet loving wife.

CHORUS

He wasn’t partial
To being a marshal
But fate went and dealt him his hand.
While outlaws were lootin
And killin’ and shootin’
He knew that he must take a stand.

CHORUS

He cleaned up the country
The Old Wild West country
He made law and order prevail
ANd none can deny it
The legend of Wyatt
Forever will live on the trail.

CHORUS

They all look Iranian. And none of the 9/11 hijackers had full beards, in fact most were clean-shaven. But, hey, who cares about accuracy when you’re busy scaremongering?

#WingnutFAIL

Srsly if everyone else on the flight had a gun why would they bring boxcutters?

Also where on an aircraft can they all stand in a circular firing squad like that?

Here’s what really bakes my noodle about that clip: I can see the cube as deep, like a cup, or projecting outwards, like a true 3D cube, just by concentrating on an edge or on the intersection of the corners respectively. But, I can’t change from seeing it one way, to seeing it the other, while he’s moving the sculpture.

Edit: OK I can change how I see it while he’s moving it, but I have to concentrate reeeaally hard.

Things like this, and the large-moon-on-the-horizon illusion, fill me with awe and despair at the same time. Awe that our brains can be tricked… And despair that we’re at the mercy of our brains, no matter how special we think our perceptions are. :)

The problem is the that LEOs storming the compound by force would create just the kind of optics these yahoos want and may lead to more violence around the country.

There’s no optics if it isn’t recorded. Close the roads, move the civilians and press out to a safe distance, and tell these fuckheads they’ve got until (X) to peaceably surrender on the laundry list of charges they’ve gleefully admitted to committing, or the National Guard is coming in with body armor and handcuffs to peacefully remove them. Any shots fired will be considered an act of war and treated accordingly. I don’t even care anymore. If it’s war, then let’s get it done. No Bundys = No Problems.

At some point enough is enough.

There’s a reason most networks put a wall between the pregame show and the live audience.

Maybe. We’ve been real fuzzy on that whole “enemy combatants” thing since The Deciderer’s Reign of Error. Want to be a Sovereign Nation of Mormon Crazy? OK then. Act like an army, get treated like an army. They’re sure as hell no fellow citizens of mine.

I’m OK with any outcome at this point.

That is pretty much inevitable now, in my opinion.

The wingnuts know, know, they can never win a federal election fairly and most states aren’t far behind that.

Which leaves cheating and violence. The cheating will work for only so long. Which leaves violence.

Stock market “crash”? We had a correction last year that was hailed as the start of the end…and yet, here we are. I guess after the market doubled since the last Repub in office sent it into a tail-spin, pushing the idea that any downturn is a “crash” is the only hope the GOP has of spinning their economic ideas as good ones.

Listening to “Marketplace” on the radio the other day, they pointed out that what we’ve just seen is called a ‘Correction’, and normally, they happen all the time. We haven’t had one for a while, but they used to be commonplace.

The problem is one of who is in control. Trump is always in control (or at least he is not easily moved.) Democrats too easily roll over for Chuck Todd (and perhaps more accurately, his producers.)

When Reagan grabbed that mic at his gathering and put GHWB in place - that was dramatic and showed who would be the winner.
