We are approaching a stupidity criticality. Any second now, the core could go prompt critical and derp all over the stage.

I’m hoping that people are noticing Trump’s tactic of attempting to get the last word on EVERY question that has been asked. Fortunately, the moderators aren’t letting him get away with it.

Trump’s supporters must be thinking this is the best debate ever. They must think that he’s scoring body blow after body blow.

Trump’s lies are now up to once every 30 seconds IMO. He can’t help himself. His supporters don’t care.

For everyone else, they’re wondering just what the heck Trump is sniffing? Glue? Mescaline? Cocaine? Because he’s just flat out bugnuts insane. Incapable of stringing along a coherent thought.

Basically, what should we do about the situation in Aleppo and Syria? Hillary’s giving a detailed answer about the tactical situation and her efforts to secure a no-fly zone. Of course, some damn fool will decide to say something stupid.

I would be that was Clinton’s strategy all along - don’t go for the jugular, just let Drumpfskind be Drumpfskind and let that carver off some small number of voters.

Many so-called swing states appear to be polling very closely, so even losing a few thousands female voters here and there will make those states out of the (creepy, small) hands of Drumpfskind.

They say he won because they have to build that impression for the people out there that cannot make that judgment. And there are many. They can’t recognize proper answers and policy that goes to the answers because they have no idea how any of it works they just want their team to win and if a scorekeeper says it was a win, then it was a win.

I just hope there are enough reasonable people that can truly see Trump for what he is and what he isn’t. May the election be in their hands and may there be enough of them voting to overcome the idiot Trump.

I have to shut off BSRNC now that Tweety is kissing Guiliani’s ass.

He’s not. He’s pummeling him.

“He was horrifying about the tape, lied a lot, kept interrupting Clinton again, stalked around. But he didn’t meltdown into utter incoherence like the first debate, so he “won.”“

I recall see a video clip on the Crooks & Liars site in which Charles Krauthammer and another talking head on Fox advised Trump to lie to win the election. Real standup guys. they are. That they suggested lying to win tells me that they aren’t the paragons of virtue they want right-wingers to think they are.

Funny thing to say, but at least they were honest about being liars. Gah, the GOP is so maddening!

Not even that.

Ah. Trying to think of a good analogy here. Drawing blanks.

Whaaa…?

I am watching him right now, and Ghouliani is getting slapped around the room. Tweety nailed him.

This is the new grading curve.

I don’t want him to be forced out. Not yet. Wait until the next ball drops. When the GOP doesn’t have time to replace him.

That’s probably why Clinton didn’t deliver the big punch.

I never understood what some theorists called the erotic aspect of fascism, until this campaign.

It’s the sort of thing one instinctively shies away from when one first sees it, but for authoritarians sex and power seem to be indistinguishable. Fascist regimes inevitably see this play out in very depraved ways.

From this point of view, the Trump tapes are the solidest information to date that he really is a fascist.

Hope Kathy is proud of being funded by a pathetic little troll of a man who actually harasses rape victims and cheers political violence on.

It’s already too late for the GOP to replace Trump.

Another one who has taken money from people who actually belittle and harass rape victims.

I think he kissed more than kicked. But that’s just me.

As Pier Pasolini illustrated in his (highly disturbing) film Salo.

I mean the conflation made sense for the leaders, but it’s extra disturbing to see it in the followers. Like I always feel like they’re one step away from just whipping it out (so to speak) and masturbating right there at the rallies.

Has any major US politician publicly said that we should “Arm the Kurds” prior to tonight, and how do we think that will play out with our ME allies?

No. it’s not. Did you listen to the GOP lawyer earlier? It would be messy but they could. 10 days from now, no chance at all.

She probably has no idea who it was that paid for the trip. All that matters is she gets to be mentioned nationally, a little TV time and a way to get back at a Clinton.

In a way, she is getting abused again. All the “Clinton victims” are. Once the election is over they will never be heard from or thought of again.

re: #190 thedopefishlives

Mildly OT: I actually knew a guy who went on the Maury show, back in high school. Our teacher during that hour let us turn on the TV to watch the episode. He turned out to be the dad and ran backstage sobbing hysterically. We laughed, I felt bad.

You know someone who went on Maury for a paternity test. I’m right there with you. I’m also with your classmates being the distant observer. I am laughing and feeling bad at the same time.
