Trump’s supporters must be thinking this is the best debate ever. They must think that he’s scoring body blow after body blow.
Trump’s lies are now up to once every 30 seconds IMO. He can’t help himself. His supporters don’t care.
For everyone else, they’re wondering just what the heck Trump is sniffing? Glue? Mescaline? Cocaine? Because he’s just flat out bugnuts insane. Incapable of stringing along a coherent thought.

Trump has achieved the remarkable feat of making me feel genuine affection for Hillary. Anyone who stands there, takes the crass abuse and ranting from the Sniffling Orange Turd - and calmly, with dignity cuts the fucker’s shrivelled balls and shoves them down his throat - that’s the president I want to see sworn in for two terms, never mind one.

I think Hilary pulled back a bit tonight in anticipation of going at him full bore in Nevada.
The good guys won less decisively than in Round 1.
electionbettingodds.com shows the final numbers at Hillary 78.4% (358 EV), Dumpster Fire 18.4% (180 EV). That’s down 1.3 and up 1.6, respectively.
Trump spending more time after debate talking with family than schmoozing with the undecideds on stage. His kids are doing more of that.
Meanwhile, Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea are mingling with everyone. Interesting.
As someone who doubts that “undecideds” really are so, I will still venture a speculation that any undecideds were not so swayed to either side tonight.
Drumpfskind played to his base and they’ll love him for that. I feel a bit frustrated in that HRC didn’t dig as much as she could have. Obama would have used humor to dig a bit more under Drumpfskind’s veneer.

Oh I missed that part about the Billy Bush stuff. He really did NOT want to say no. His ego is that bad he can’t just say he doesn’t get as much sex as he claimed?
Trump’s performance tonight was largely what the media and the GOP wanted to see in the first debate. He managed to make up ground, but probably not enough to really move the polls very far.
Based on my reaction just listening and not watching, Hillary had him on the ropes for the first 30 minutes then she eased up but she DID stick the shiv in him that got him to admit that he paid no Income tax.
Sure was amazing to see how frosty Trump was about Pence.
I don’t see this debate as making any big change in the election. Trump’s campaign remains the same dumpster fire it was before the debate.
None of those questions seemed to surprise either candidate one tiny bit. I think they had them
I don’t know-some of the audience reactions were definitely hostile towards Hillary at times on some of her answers. But Trump was definitely running over her yet again and not really answering the question many times. He really doesn’t have a clue.

re: #428 nickzi
I would be that was Clinton’s strategy all along - don’t go for the jugular, just let Drumpfskind be Drumpfskind and let that carver off some small number of voters.
Many so-called swing states appear to be polling very closely, so even losing a few thousands female voters here and there will make those states out of the (creepy, small) hands of Drumpfskind.
re: #441 HappyWarrior
Yeah I had CNN’s post talking heads on for like 10 minutes after the debate ended and none of them said a word about that.
They did just mention it as being unprecedented and dangerous.

Same way Romney “won” the first debate: He spent two weeks dragging down the expectations bar, then he got over it without stubbing his toe.
They say he won because they have to build that impression for the people out there that cannot make that judgment. And there are many. They can’t recognize proper answers and policy that goes to the answers because they have no idea how any of it works they just want their team to win and if a scorekeeper says it was a win, then it was a win.
I just hope there are enough reasonable people that can truly see Trump for what he is and what he isn’t. May the election be in their hands and may there be enough of them voting to overcome the idiot Trump.
So Kellyanne is with the campaign until she needs to spend more time with her family.

Chelsea totally proves that wrong. There’s no way she would be the way she is if Clinton was in the marriage for control. On the other hand, Trump’s kids totally broadcast his ambitions and behavior.

It’s the sort of thing one instinctively shies away from when one first sees it, but for authoritarians sex and power seem to be indistinguishable. Fascist regimes inevitably see this play out in very depraved ways.
From this point of view, the Trump tapes are the solidest information to date that he really is a fascist.

re: #534 EPR-radar
I mean the conflation made sense for the leaders, but it’s extra disturbing to see it in the followers. Like I always feel like they’re one step away from just whipping it out (so to speak) and masturbating right there at the rallies.

She probably has no idea who it was that paid for the trip. All that matters is she gets to be mentioned nationally, a little TV time and a way to get back at a Clinton.
In a way, she is getting abused again. All the “Clinton victims” are. Once the election is over they will never be heard from or thought of again.
