After Briefing, Trump Claims Hacking Had “Absolutely No Effect” on Election (That’s Not What the CIA Said)
So Donald Trump had his long-awaited intelligence briefing on Russian interference with the presidential election today, came out and immediately issued a statement claiming hacking had “absolutely no effect” on the election.
Note that this isn’t what the intelligence agencies say. Not at all. James Clapper testified yesterday that there was no way to determine how much or how little influence the Russian interference had.
Trump added this categorical denial himself. And that tells us his true agenda: to do and say everything he can to divert attention away from Russia’s efforts to get him elected.
Here’s his full statement:

Here’s the declassified version of the intelligence report on Russia’s attempts to influence our election, making it very clear that Trump’s claim of “absolutely no effect” is simply nonsense.
