On Donald Trump’s Latest Bizarre, Unhinged Interview With Fox

Brilliant, amazing cake and unmanned missiles

How many ways can I find to say “there’s something seriously wrong with Donald Trump?” At a certain point words just fail to describe the sheer bad craziness of this guy who was elected emperor.

Today’s example of his unhinged narcissism comes from Fox Business, which is Fox News, which is the main propaganda outlet (and inlet) for our so-called president. In today’s little chat with Maria Bartiromo, we learn that this preening man-baby is inordinately proud that he launched a barrage of Tomahawk missiles at Syria while eating “the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake that you’ve ever seen.”

I was sitting at the table. We had finished dinner. We’re now having dessert. And we had the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake that you’ve ever seen and President Xi was enjoying it.

And I was given the message from the generals that the ships are locked and loaded, what do you do?

And we made a determination to do it, so the missiles were on the way. And I said, Mr. President, let me explain something to you. This was during dessert.

We’ve just fired 59 missiles, all of which hit, by the way, unbelievable, from, you know, hundreds of miles away, all of which hit, amazing.

BARTIROMO: Unmanned? Brilliant.

TRUMP: It’s so incredible. It’s brilliant. It’s genius.

Unmanned missiles! The amazing brilliant genius of such a concept! So much better than those old, stale manned missiles.

It’s difficult to tell what Trump was more impressed by: his own power and might, unmanned missiles, or that unbelievably beautiful piece of chocolate cake.

TRUMP: It’s so incredible. It’s brilliant. It’s genius. Our technology, our equipment, is better than anybody by a factor of five. I mean look, we have, in terms of technology, nobody can even come close to competing.

Now we’re going to start getting it, because, you know, the military has been cut back and depleted so badly by the past administration and by the war in Iraq, which was another disaster.

So what happens is I said we’ve just launched 59 missiles heading to Iraq and I wanted you to know this. And he was eating his cake. And he was silent.

Please stop talking about that cake. Please.

Think Repubs are still upset that they never got that opportunity but a black Democrat did so under his watch.

Charles from his text above: “It’s difficult to tell what Trump was more impressed by: his own power and might, unmanned missiles, or that unbelievably beautiful piece of chocolate cake.”

Well obviously Trump is impressed mostly with himself. All else must follow.

- It was Trump’s decision to go with the launch. Others could have given the signal, but it would not have been as great as Trump doing it.

- It was Trump’s learning the missiles are unmanned. This knowledge may have been known by others previously but it doesn’t count until Trump learns they are unmanned.

- It was Trump’s fork that went into the cake and then loaded the cake into Trump’s mouth for Trump to say it was beautiful. No other person can deem cake to be beautiful like Donald Trump.

Trump. Trump. Trump. Trump.

All bow down!

I assume tRump said that (can’t watch the video at the moment).

The only reason he said a factor of 5 is because its the highest number he can count to on one of tiny hands.

Saw this segment on The Today show this morning and was impressed by the mother and how she made her decisions and what she learned about herself and her religion.

I’m not a huge fan of Jenna Bush Hager, but she did a nice piece here. I hope some of the fundamentalist religious types also learn from it. it is very powerful.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his firm’s work (all times local):

3:05 p.m.

President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman is registering as a foreign agent.

Paul Manafort’s spokesman says he was in talks with the government about registering before the 2016 election and is now “taking appropriate steps” in response to “formal guidance” from the government.

The spokesman says Manafort’s lobbying work was not conducted on behalf of the Russian government and began before Manafort started working with the Trump campaign.

It’s unclear whether Trump was aware that Manafort was in talks with the government about registering before he hired him.

Michael Flynn, who was fired as White House national security adviser in February, has also had to register as a foreign agent for lobbying work he did with ties to Turkey.

Tiffany is the least reprehensible of the bunch, although she belongs nowhere in government.

She just hasn’t had a chance to show her inner Trump yet. Give her a chance and she’ll crawl under the lowest bar possible, just like the rest of the clan.

Not mutually exclusive.

I don’t know.
The combination would likely make it difficult to ride the “get-away-bike”

One of the things that we were warned of, by people who’d watched authoritarian governments take over their countries, was that the unthinkable would quickly become normal. Rachel Maddow pointed this out the other day, that there have been A BUNCH OF scandals of the magnitude that would have ground America to a halt, and possibly cratered the Presidency since the election, but we just push them to the side so they don’t distract us from the continual ongoing trainwreck.

It seems that EVERY GODDAM DAY, there are at least TWO big stories, and usually more. Even on weekends!

Remember the halcyon days of the Bush Administration, when we had tens of thousands of troops in two separate hot wars at the same time, and there was less news?

Let me point out once again that Trump completely contradicts himself in the space of two sentences.

I doubt he even listens to himself any more.

It all makes perfect sense to the rubes.

A lawyer involved in a witch-hunt to purge homosexuals during the Bush Administration now has a job in the Trump Administration, naturally.

Has he come out yet?

Bush was a disaster of course, but he at least had (mostly) grownups running the show.

Well, it is the important details that matter in a good story.

If Bannon is a teetotaler, then he must be smoking crack or snorting the dirtiest meth ever cooked. One does not destroy one’s complexion like that by living a clean life.
