re: #144 Blind Frog Belly White
Speaking of stupid takes on racism, I saw an amusing challenge on another message board — “Prove to me that t**** is racist.”
My response was ‘Arpaio pardon. QED.’ The are many examples, but that seems to be the clearest.
Some other conservative snowflake on that thread came up with an impressive whine:
I think trying to label the pardon of Joe Arpaio as in any way, shape, form, or hint as racist on President Trump’s part only serves to reveal how deep the well of doublespeak, hypocrisy, and innuendo runs among the liberal left. I give this example so little credibility that it disgusts me to treat it with a paragraph.
It’s such a perfect example of a conservative arguing from personal outrage and incredulity as the sole refutation of a racism accusation that it should be put on a bronze plaque and hung above the White House shitter.

It’s such a perfect example of a conservative arguing from personal outrage and incredulity as the sole refutation of a racism accusation that it should be put on a bronze plaque and hung above the White House shitter.
I would have gone with Trump not allowing a black family to rent at his apartment, or maybe his calling white supremacists fine people but condemning black football players.
If you are a fan of Stephen Colbert or Seth Meyers, I have bad news for you: BOTH shows are in re-runs this week.
I like both shows, but have become exasperated by the fact they frequently have the same guests a day or two apart. It’s like they are BEGGING me to DVR these shows and completely ignore their sponsors.

I was thinking about the idea that Trump is sucking all the air out of the room, making it hard for Democrats to even talk about their solutions. Sanders, when he goes on CNN to do the “debates”, is breaking through that, at least for a little while. Democrats need to do those kinds of things, even if they have to negotiate with CNN to do it and have to schedule things that might seem meaningless otherwise. The party may need to work with a network until they can be heard over Trump without it.

Wow! Florida Republicans sure have a winning candidate to replace Ros-Leithen!
Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera has announced her intention to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.
But in a YouTube video released several years ago, Rodriguez Aguilera discusses how she was once on an alien spaceship.
She also claims that she was visited by extraterrestrials when she was a girl and communicated with them telepathically several times in her life.
Rodriguez Aguilera previously served as vice mayor of Doral. The Republican is seeking to fill the seat being vacated by Ros-Lehtinen, who has served in Congress since 1989.

trump, verb: flatulate
There aren’t many Trump-ic posts showing up on my Facebook wall anymore. I suspect that Facebook has figured out that it should filter what it feeds me, and filter out the Trump stuff.
Either that or the relatives/in-laws are hiding from me.
Used to see a bunch of ads for Trump-groups too, but they are now all gone. One of them, I think a relative must has followed the group, was run by some guys from Eastern Europe. Surprise, surprise. They weren’t hiding it either, as it was clear who the group admins were. But they had tens of thousands of gray-haired Jesus-cult types as members, eating what was fed to them.
Anyway, that group doesn’t show up any more , either.

Pop tipped a server in Memphis five large on an $850 bill in June. I’ve been a Rockets fan my entire life, and will never ever root for the Spurs, but if I could share a bottle of wine with two people on earth it would be Pop and Obama. I love and respect both of them.

Congressional Candidate Believes She Was Visited by Aliens
Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera, a Republican candidate for a congressional district in Florida (natch), has said she was once visited by extraterrestrial beings, McClatchy reported on Monday.
The outlet flagged a TV interview Aguilera gave in 2009 in which she recalled her unforgettable experience, which she said took place when she was 7.
She described “going up” inside the spaceship — though whether it went into space or just hovered around town was left unclear.
“I went in. There were some round seats that were there, and some quartz rocks that controlled the ship — not like airplanes,” Rodriguez Aguilera said.
She claims that the aliens have communicated with her telepathically several times since then, implying that they enjoyed her company the first time around.

How could the moron say “I was told” when saying President Obama didn’t comfort the families of military people killed in action. Where was he for the last 8 years - the pictures are EVERYWHERE - except of course on Fox News - although they probably had one or two as well.
So past time for the media to call him out - again and again. I saw some idjit on MSNBC congratulating trump for having a 40 minute press conference. Given every word he said was a lie - what was there to congratulate?
Why are so many in the media and the administration and politics and sport so scared to call him out. Giving in to bullies never works - never has, never will.
