That might actually give us an advantage: Trump thinks he’s kicking ass in the polls and has an easy ride to victory so he eases up and waits for the inevitable, only to find out…

We already know that Trump is a liar. The media has to get a backbone and push back hard when he claims that the polls are fake. Ditto Democrats as a whole. It’s as if we’re cowed by him. So what if he disputes or disparages the polls? Call him out as a liar and keep it moving.

They are hypocrites, but on this one issue you’re mistaken. Reagan did *not* fuck around on Nancy.

The moral majority did make a momentary fuss about Nancy being his 2nd wife; but they forgave him when he was able to prove that Jane Wyman insisted on that divorce very much against his wishes.

The Pennsylvania man arrested for allegedly torching a Brooklyn rabbi’s home on Thursday had such a burning grudge against the religious leader that he tattooed a reminder on his forearm to “Never let go of the HATRED” and “KILL” the rabbi.
Cops arrested Matthew Karelefsky, 41, of McKeesport, Pa. on Sunday and charged him with arson and two counts of attempted murder, for setting ablaze the Midwood home of Rabbi Jonathan Max early Thursday. The inferno leapt to two neighboring buildings and left 13 injured.
According to photos reviewed by The Post, the ink reads: “Never let go of the HATRED - KILL Rabbi Max YEMACH SHMO” — the final words a Hewbrew phrase calling for the obliteration of the rabbi’s name.

Attention LGF cooks!
This recipe is beyond delicious.
Greek Chicken Gyros with Tzatziki Sauce

I’ve been using whatever chicken is leftover from the gyros, in salads and anything else I would normally use cooked chicken.

MrBWS runs about 2 or 3 good-sized frozen chicken breasts through the meat slicer, about 5mm thick (about 2/10 inch for you luddites)
The slices go into a gallon ziplock bag, which already has the marinade mixed up and ready to go. Then into the fridge for at least 24 hours before sauteing up in the skillet in olive oil.

nom nom nom

Also, leftovers freeze very well.

and the goofy coonhound just loves it as a sneaky lasix pill feeder every morning. Even moresothan her previous fave, the hotdog.

I was kind of underwhelmed but I watched the whole thing.

Probably because I really liked the book.

Seems to me they were trying too hard to be hip and edgy and missing the whole point of Terry Pratchett, which is about bumbling average characters who wind up having amazing, world-shaping adventures despite their humble natures.

A lot of people seem to realize that Biden has his spot because of recognition, and lots of people would rather continue the Obama administration rather than continue Trump’s. But, as has been pointed out in other polling, Biden and Sanders have both lost ground over the last few months. There’s even a Vermont poll according to Daily Kos that has her in the lead.

Despite his moral failings, Bill Clinton was an awesome President. I doubt he’d get the Democratic nomination now though. Times have changed.

I’m not sure Clinton was that great of a president. He got lucky in that there were no major conflicts during his administration and the creation of the internet happened on his watch. I’m not sure things would have been much different had GHW Bush won a second term in ‘92 and then some random Democrat had won in ‘96.

His tax reforms were on their way to paying off the national debt, which is one reason to approve of him. I’m not sure about the rest. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, there must have been a lot of realignment going on, and there may have been a lot that wasn’t public.

Had Dole won in ‘96, it’s worth remembering that he was a bit of a squish on a lot of social issues. I suspect that GHW Bush won in ‘92 or Dole in ‘96, we’d have seen more Supreme Court picks like Kennedy, Souter, and O’Connor than Scalia and Thomas.

In fact, HW signed a tax increase to improve the economy (and cut the deficit). It’s what cost him his party’s support, that’s why he didn’t get a 2nd term. When forced to choose between the nation’s best interest and his own job security, he picked the nation.

Bill Clinton fired the incompetent patronage hacks who were strangling Social Security. He also ordered OPM to reaudit positions and determined that Agency employees had been unfairly assigned to lower GS levels than they should actually be. His Commissioners upgraded our positions and allowed us to hire people to replace those that Reagan and Old Man Bush eliminated by staffing cuts. Overall Bill Clinton treated Social Security employees better than any other President.

Colbert was ragging on him just hard on that motherfucker prior to the election as he was now, particularly about the birtherism. Again, I’d have to rewatch it, but my recollection was Colbert had him starting to squirm and Trump politely said he doesn’t talk about it anymore.

I really think Colbert was pulling a Lorne Michaels and thinking “I’ll let him off easy because I may want him back on the show.” Which is really pathetic, given how hard Colbert hits him every night.

If only Colbert had got up from the desk and had Zack Galifianakis come in as a guest interviewer and give him the “Between Two Ferns” treatment.
