Glenn Beck: ‘Who’s On the Other End of Obama’s Blackberry?’

Weird • Views: 3,605

Paranoia strikes deep into Glenn Beck’s heart, in an interview with the far right loons of Newsmax (who recently published an article advocating a military coup in the US): Glenn Beck: ‘God Help us all’.

“I truly fear the groundwork — this is so far beyond Obama,” Beck says. “I want to do a special on who’s on the other end of the side of the BlackBerry?, who’s on the other end of the BlackBerry?… This is bigger than Obama…. I fear an event, I fear a Reichstag moment, God forbid another 9/11, something that will turn this machine on, and power will be seized and voices will be silenced. God help us all.”

A Reichstag moment! Another 9/11! Power seized! Voices silenced! God help us all!

[Run around screaming…]

Good. Freaking. Grief. This insane person is the hero of the right wing.

Yeah, I think Beck will eventually be remembered ONLY for the last thing he did or said - right before he's wrapped up in the straight jacket and gets tasered.

Reichstag moment.
Yeah, that'd go over big in the US.

Or maybe ... Satan?

The practice of giving any gabby opinionator credence simply because their face has become familiar has gone much too far.

My sources tell me that RS McCain thinks it may be Pamela Anderson however Dan Riehl is quite sure it's Harvey Fierstein.

Axelrod and Ailes Meet, but Details Are Few
By Brian Stelter

Roger Ailes, the chairman of Fox News, met with the White House adviser David Axelrod last month.

And it is a testament to Fox’s influence that that the meeting is newsworthy at all. Politico broke the news Tuesday afternoon, prompting speculation about the nature of the conversation.

A Fox press representative confirmed that the two men met over a cup of coffee last month during Mr. Obama’s visit to the United Nations. The representative called it a “cordial conversation.” Details of the conversation have not dribbled out yet.

“I’ve known Roger for a long time,” Mr. Axelrod told Time magazine in an e-mail message. “We chatted from time to time during the campaign. I was going to be in N.Y., so we got together for a cup of coffee.”

[Link: gb1990.net...]

"We find it ironic that Glenn Beck, realizing that the U.S. Constitution would stand in the way of trying to shut us down via the U.S. court system, decided to bring action against us before an international domain name arbitration panel. We're not saying he's not patriotic, but why would a patriotic American seek relief outside the U.S.? See the letter with our proposed stipulation that will ensure that no matter which panelist is assigned to this case, the First Amendment will illuminate these proceedings like rays of light from the Torch of Liberty."

Mebst! It is now time to reveal the sad case of failed agent Beck:

In June of 2006, a group of junior Zionist Occupation agents took a saucer from the Yeshiva and decided to find a washed out hollywood wannabe. They realized that such an individual would do essentially anything to make it big.

They found Beck, weeping outside of a comedy bar.

After bringing him to the saucer with a promise of a bag of cheetos, (yes really, that was all it took) Beck responded abnormally to the probe procedure.

It is well known that one in five humans kind of likes the probe. However, alas, Beck decided he craved the probe.

Unfortunately, he got loose from his cell and probed himself when no one was watching. In the course of thinking that probing his ear would be "groovy and spacey" he managed to implant a small radio transceiver in hi auditory nerve. The transceiver is wetware and programmed to play Mexican radio, Rush Limbaugh and the Bircher feed.

Alas, he thinks these are his own thoughts.

We could repair him. However, we have discovered that he fits into our greater agenda of discrediting the right so that Agent Obama can take over your most powerful nation with his secret army of mutant Stalinist cub scouts.

Ahh, a Good Morning Vietnam para-quote! In the last thread, I said this of George Will:

I look at Will (and others on the right that are ate up with the ODS) and the first thing I think about is what Robin Williams tells J.T. Walsh in Good Morning Vietnam:

"You know, you're in more dire need of a blowjob than any white man in history."

Cato, I'm sorry.

I have my own specialty breed that I support. It is unusual that a rare breed doesn't have a breed group to take rescue's in. My breed group rescues any that come to their knowledge.

Last Fall, I drove 2 hours to get one and kept him for 6 weeks (spending about $3K of the groups money) nursing him back to health. He moved on and now has a good home.

If I could, I'd take him.

Mine is blue too.

A lot of dogs are being given up in NYC right now because public housing rules recently went into effect making dogs over 40 pounds (or something like that) illegal. Give up the dog or lose your apartment.

It is part of the Nanny State's reaction to pit bulls, Rottweilers and Dobermans. Don't punish the people who train dogs to be aggressive, punish the dogs. Typical Statist crap.

I know pit bulls I would trust over my ex-BIL to take care of my niece.

And Rusty is a Jindo, and they're not on the list except if they're overweight.

Please pass on the link or email me if you know someone who wants a good dog.

Absolutely right. Sheehan has one, the flippers on either side of the aisle do not.

I don't like Cindy. I feel for her loss, but I don't like how she chose to deal with it, and I don't agree with her stance. But she has remained consistent in that stance, and I can at least respect that.

I have no respect for those who changed their opinion on the matter when the party occupying The White House changed.

Two things. First, I got about 10 seconds into that before closing it due to a repressed memory.
Second: "Suicide by Chocolate Boat" is an awesome band name.

I find that unlikely. Glen Beck is quite delusional. The odds of him being right on a complex issue are very low. You're more likely to be struck by lightning than find out he's right.

248 Kytan  Wed, Oct 7, 2009 7:08:45am

What's weird is how much it seems like he's changed. I read the first version of An Inconvenient Book a while ago, and it seems remarkably devoid of crazy. If I opened the same book now, I'd probably think the same thing.

I went into a bookstore recently though, and found the updated version. Unsurprisingly FULL of crazy.

I don't know what caused this change (probably TV) but it makes me sad. He seemed at the time much more tolerable than O'Reilly or Hannity, but now he's worse than either of them.

249 S'latch  Wed, Oct 7, 2009 7:15:51am

". . . and voices will be silenced."

This statement probably stems from Glenn Beck's personal fear about his own voice being silenced by his own network. If Fox were to cancel him, you would probably see him behave a lot like Dan Rather did with CBS, that is, to accuse them of being part of some larger conspiracy.

Concerns about presidents abusing power, or becoming subjects of their own power structure, can be legitimate. However, presidential usage of a Blackberry device is not a legitimate cause for that kind of concern.

From everything I read, Beck is an act. He doesn't really believe this crap, and is having a huge belly laugh at the reichtards that are so ready to swallow his paranoid spew like so many fluffers at the Adult Video News Awards.

It would be interesting if, one day, he publicly revealed this to be the case, making his admirers the butt of the joke in an all-too-public manner. What delicious uproar that would cause.

That seems doubtful to me. He does have a picture of Orson Welles there, but his hoaxes seem to be limited to boiling frogs. If his whole crazy scheme is a hoax, then he's playing a pretty dangerous game: if one day he were to reveal that he has been punking the Tea Baggers, then his viewers would think just that the Gestapo brainwashed him or something. My view is that his most outrageous stances win him so much praise and more devoted followers (and lucre) so that his own judgment became distorted and he started to believe whatever his followers wanted to hear.

No joke. Last time that particular pattern was in style was in, if I recall correctly, about 1980. . .when I was in grammar school (I remember because i had a fleece with that pattern, and I came in on the very tail end of that particular trend).

262 Bonk  Wed, Oct 7, 2009 12:21:50pm

Eh, on one hand I think you guys give him way too much credit - his being a televised version of ManCow just provides entertainment for those who find him amusing and fodder for those who don't to cry foul.

Put in other terms, he's no worse (or better) than the kooks on the left like Code Pink and others. He's obviously overdramatizing everything simply for the populist response that any shockjock tries for, and you only make him seem more important by taking him seriously. Beck is an actor/comedian - substance be damned, he's getting *attention* for his behavior. The more outrageous he is, the more he gets.

On the other hand, it's kind of scary. Being wacky *works* in today's society - just take a gander at "Reality" TV shows if you don't believe me. Sheeple have primed to respond to this type of behavior by the media for decades now.

Now, the funny part is that this is the very trait that worked *for* the left in the past, and now it's being used by the right as well. Unfortunate? Yeah. Surprising? No.

Crazy works nowadays, expect to see more of it.
