Michael Brecker Group: Delta City Blues

Music • Views: 3,046

The late great Michael Brecker does “Delta City Blues,” beginning with an eye-opening solo that humorously demonstrates Michael’s absolute command of the tenor saxophone. The band is Joey Calderazzo on piano, James Genus on bass, and Ralph Peterson on drums. Recorded in 1998 at the Leverkusen jazz festival in Germany.

I like the saxophone in my head... it drowns out the voices.

Michael Brecker played in Frank Zappa's band in 1977-1978, and an absolutely jaw-dropping sax solo (and I say that as one who is not particularly fond of tenor sax honkage) of his can be heard on the track "The Purple Lagoon/Approximate" on the "Zappa In New York" album.

Okay

Either Boise State is a LOT better than I thought they would be

OR Virginia Tech isn't nearly as good as I thought they would be!

Einstien hates firworks

McDuff is fascinated by them

Einstien hides under the bed or chair

McDuff sits, looks to the sky, and barks NOT at the loud BOOM, but at the lights themselves! Doesn't move,, just sits there looking , and ONE "bark"!
